Not a few people have had skin problems such as acne. Before knowing the causes and solutions that can treat acne, it would be good to know what acne is and its types.
Acne is a skin problem that arises due to clogged pores and causes inflammatory disorders in the skin that has oil, or sebaceous, glands that are connected to fine hair follicles.
Acne arises due to four main factors, namely:
- Excessive production of oil or sebum on the skin
- Hair follicles on the skin that are blocked by oil and dead skin cells
- Bacteria on the skin
- Inflammation or inflammation of the skin
Generally, acne is experienced by people who are going through puberty, but quite a few cases of acne are also found in people over 25 years old. The following are factors that can cause acne to appear on the skin.
- Hormon
The testosterone hormone found in the body usually increases during puberty. Testosterone plays an important role in the body's growth period, but it has a side side, namely it triggers the growth of acne. Meanwhile, in women who experience menstruation, acne can appear during premenstrual syndrome (PMS) because parts of the body become inflamed and trigger an increase in sebum content in the skin.
- Genetic
The growth of acne due to genetics can be caused by a history of skin health in family members. If a parent has experienced acne, then it is possible that acne will be passed on to their children.
- Use of Cosmetics
The role of cosmetics or make-up can influence the growth of acne, especially cosmetics that contain comedogenic ingredients or ingredients that can trigger blackheads to appear on the skin and cause clogged pores.
- Lifestyles
Choosing a lifestyle can affect body health, especially skin health. Consuming certain substances, such as nicotine, can trigger acne. In addition, lack of sleep and hydration from mineral water can be factors causing acne.
