FAQS

Will the skin peel after an Acne Scar Peeling?

Yes, mild peeling typically occurs for about 3–5 days after the treatment. This is a normal process where dead skin layers shed and are replaced by newer, smoother skin.

How long is the recovery time after Acne Peeling?

After the procedure, the skin usually experiences mild redness and peeling for 2–4 days. You can resume normal activities, but it is recommended to use sunscreen and a specialized moisturizer to speed up healing and protect the newly resurfaced skin.

Can Subcision remove all types of acne scars?

Subcision is most effective for treating boxcar and rolling scars, which are caused by fibrous bands pulling the skin downward. For ice pick scars, subcision alone is usually not enough — these typically require a combination of treatments such as laser, TCA CROSS, or PRP for optimal results.

Do laser treatments make the skin thinner?

When laser treatments are performed according to your skin condition, with proper settings and appropriate intervals as advised by the doctor, they will not make the skin thinner.

What are the advantages of PRP compared to regular microneedling?

PRP uses your own plasma, which is rich in growth factors, allowing for significantly enhanced tissue repair compared to microneedling alone. This combination accelerates skin regeneration and improves scar reduction more effectively.

Is PRP + Microneedling safe?

Yes. Since PRP uses your own blood, the risk of allergic reactions is very low. Microneedling is performed by trained medical professionals using sterile equipment, making the procedure safe when clinic protocols are followed.

Can laser treatments be done on pregnant or breastfeeding women?

Laser treatments are not recommended for pregnant women, but they can be performed on breastfeeding mothers. However, it is advisable to consult your obstetrician (OB-GYN) before undergoing any laser procedure.
